Psychological condition marked by a false belief that everyone is attracted to one's significant other. This is due to client's attraction and affection for someone whom client has positive feelings about. As a result of this drive, client incorrectly assumes others to have similar feelings for his or her object of affection, i.e. one "projects" one's feelings onto others. The condition is caused in part by egocentricity and a lack of awareness that one's perspective of another differs from person to person.
See also Affective Bias - Significant other is the best looking/smartest/most attractive/brilliant/cutest etc. etc. person in the world even in the face of contrary evidence. Pathology of this condition is similar to the above.
