It rains today,
And paints the sky grey,
Or rather wipes
The colours from the earth.
They come in drenched,
Drippng but somehow
Happy?
They say the rain takes away your stress.
I cannot try it now,
not with so much to do.
I gently chide with "what ifs",
but their fervour is never dampened
Still, I do admire their carefree lives.
I think I would like too,
To walk alone as the heavens cry on me.
And pretend that I am alive.
(It would've been prose, but the language was too laconic.)Labels: Poetry
