My brother and I had the silliest conversation today about why you shouldn't vote an opposition party member for President.
(roughly paraphrased) If the Government was run by teenagers:
B: I think it's very cruel to vote for the opposition since he'll be all alone among the majority party and he'll be ostracised. M: Yeah, like after Cabinet, they'd all go for lunch, but they'd tell the President, "Sorry, we don't like you, you can't come with us." B: Exactly. He'll get left out of everything. M: And then during National Day, the rest of the ministers would tell him that he can't wear white. So he has to wear red. And sit by himself all alone in the stands with empty seats all around him. B: So sad.
