Every superhero needs a butler

Because;
1) Lyndon asked me if I was going to make this the title of my blog post.
2) I wonder if I'll even be able to write a full-length piece based on this title.
3) I have delicious chicken pies. =)

Check out the Batman. He's only so awesome because of Alfred. Admit it - if Alfred were not a part of the Batman team, you'd probably hate Master Bruce. They do make a fantastic team, and I have to say Alfred is my favourite (bar none!) supporting character in the Batman cast. He's always fairly calm, composed, and ever-ready to rebuke Bruce's rash decisions or repair whatever damage Bats has done to himself. I have a great deal of respect for him in his ability to be on hand for Batman whenever the situation requires it. And it's not just a duty - Alfred cares for Batman, he gives him advice, he runs the entire household whenever Batman is running around AND assists him with his Bat-job too.

Seriously, Robin? Can't hold a candle to Alfred. Alfred was there before Dick Greyson was even born. Alfred's seen Batman through his worst and best times, which is why I would give major props (from the phrase "proper respect") to Alfred. The butler did it. He's the real sidekick.

Imagine this: What if Spiderman had a butler? Or Superman? They'd have someone to help them cover their stories and do all the nitty gritty work behind the superhero stuff. And it's not easy being a butler. You have to go to school for it.
