I'm not an affliate of Prima Deli, nor am I trying to throw business their way, but their durian mooncakes are really lovely. I've not tried any of the other durian mooncakes from other stores, (Angie's choice also sells, I think) but why try something else if it's already proven good?
If you've been in my neighbourhood for the past few days, I know you've at least tried some, so you know what I'm talking about (what with me shoving it into your mouth, gleefully screeching "Eat! EAT!!")Response to durian mooncakes has been good so far - "It's like eating cold durian from the fridge."
It's not as if I made them, but good things should be shared. When else will you get to eat durian mooncakes except during this season? Best try now or regret missing this fooding opportunity. Prices are reasonable too - $30 for a box of 4, if you're a UOB, DBS or HSBC card holder. (rant) Speaking of which, this person from ABN-AMRO called me not once, not twice, but three times this morning to ask me about a Mastercard application.
Saleslady: Blah blah blah, representive from ABN-AMRO. Blah blah blah, new offer. Me: Uh huh... Saleslady: Mastercard, blah blah blah, no fees. Me: Uh huh. How did you get my number? Saleslady: Personal Database. Me: I'm not interested becase... Saleslady: Okay, goodbye.
That was the 2nd time. I groggily hung up the first time.
And then, who'd have thought it? I get called a THIRD time by the SAME PERSON.
Saleslady: Blah blah blah, representive from ABN-AMRO. Blah blah blah, new offer. Me: You already called. Saleslady: Oh.

The soft snowskin blends perfectly with the durian paste filling to give a delightfully creamy taste.
Considering I haven't had any durian for months, my obsession is, I think, entirely justifiable.
