You know what I think. Why do you ask even? Sometimes it feels like a test, like you're waiting for me to express my beliefs so you can play "find the bigot". You want me to argue with you so you can prove me wrong.
Why?
I don't seek to show you the error of your ways. That's not who I am, but you seem insistent, gleeful even, on forcing my hand. I have remained silent on the matter of marriage conventions because I recognize the right you have to what you want to celebrate, glorify, magnify.
The vehemence that my brothers and sisters express against your idea of marriage at times stems from fear and love. It is how you would shout at your child for deciding that the center of the road is dangerous to play in.
It's hard to step back and say "Ok. You've made the choice to do this, and I will not say anything to the contrary."
